  1. What is the minimum number of hours per visit?

Answer:  Two hours per visit

  1. What duties can a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) perform?

Answer: Certified Home Health Aides can perform personal care, meal preparation and feeding, light housekeeping, laundry, medication reminders, assist with ambulating (no lifting), and toileting.

  1. Is there a charge for the RN assessment?

Answer: There is no fee for the initial assessment.

  1. How often are we billed?

Answer: Supportive Care of New Jersey will bill you weekly.

  1. Is Supportive Care of New Jersey state licensed?

Answer: Yes, Supportive Care of New Jersey is licensed with the state of New Jersey.

  1. Do you accept credit cards?

Answer: Yes, we accept Visa and Master Card credit cards.

  1. Can Certified Home Health Aides drive clients to appointments or shopping?

Answer: No, Certified Home Health Aides cannot drive clients to appointments or shopping.

  1. Can Certified Home Health Aides give medications?

Answer: No, they may give medication reminders only.

  1. Will I always have the same Certified Home Health Aide?

Answer: We always attempt to provide continuity of care. However, in some cases it may be necessary to send a different person as a fill in; due to illness, vacation, car issues, etc.

     10. Is Supportive Care of New Jersey an accredited agency?

           Answer:  Yes, we are accredited through the Commission on Accreditation for Home Care #449.
